PERSONAL LETTER TO MR. SIZZLE 2009....

Dear Mr. Sizzle 2009,

Please allow me to personally Thank You for a great 4 day holiday vacation filled with attractive men, mediocre parties, an overpriced hotel stay and tons of liquor that I don't normally consume. After everything was said and done...I had a LOT of FUN...

BUT....

I do have a few concerns that I need to get off of my chest....

1. For Sizzle 2010, can you please switch up the clubs. I believe in supporting black business and events but after 5 years, your events are extremely predictable. After all of these years, why in the world would you have both Saturday and Sunday night events at the SAME CLUB???

2. Why do you advertise one price for club events but charge something totally different at the door? The flier stated the club would be $25 or $30 but ended up being $40-$50 at the door.

3. Speaking of cost...I'm not cheap brother and understand that you have to pay top dollar for events during Memorial weekend but why $85 for a cruise that only gets one free drink and finger foods? No, I'm not asking you to cheapen the events or cut corners but consider the facts. 1. We are in a Recession. 2. Why have events at clubs that charge $12-$14 per drink? 3. Why charge for every little thing from bus shuttle to and from clubs to having to pay for drinks during the welcome reception??

4. Please consider rethinking the clubs where you have your events and consider clubs that have gay friendly staff members and are able to accommodate the masses COMFORTABLY. This weekend I had the experience of being in clubs that were not fully able to accommodate everybody and it was HOT, SWEATY, PACKED, UNCOMFORTABLE AND CONFRONTATIONAL AT TIMES...

5. Consider thinking of some new events. If you want us to spend our money, have events that are worth us paying. The Beach-Haulover, is a Sizzle event but every year there doesn't seem to be a lot going on except a bunch of gay men on the beach. How about having music or dancing or a bar or some type of contest on the beach to facilitate something besides aimless walking back and forth.
