We told you earlier that the Broadway/Hollywood classic Annie was being remade by Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's Overbrook Entertainment, starring Willow Smith. Now it's official.
How fab! It's official that Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have decided to produce a remake of Annie starring their daughter ten-year-old Willow Smith. The film will be made by Overbrook Entertainment, which the Smiths co-own, along with Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter and Sony Pictures.
As you might remember, the movie tells the story of little orphan Annie whose life is transformed when she goes to live with the wealthy industrialist Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks. This is one of my favorite movies so I'm interested to see Willow bring her swagger to "Maybe," "Hard Knock Life" (if included) and "Tomorrow."
