Falling Whistles is a non-profit organization campaigning for peace and the rehabilitation of child soldiers in Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Falling Whistles sells whistles for $34 to $104 to raise money for Congolese organizations rehabilitating child soldiers. Children who are too young to carry weapons are sent into battle armed only with whistles. By wearing replica whistles, the campaign wants to raise awareness of the situation in Congo and raise money. As of September 2010, $500,000 has been raised.
Falling Whistles does not publish the names of its partner organizations to protect their safety.
In September 2010, Failing Whistles volunteers started a tour of 30 cities, visiting universities and organizations including Google, MIT and Tufts University.
