With the proliferation of so called skinny/fitted suits, don't forget that the suit should actually fit. When it's is cut so tight that it pulls and bows when you button it, when the shoulders don't so much hug your own as they do strangle them, well, your suit doesn't fit. In fairness, this can happen with any suit if you size down too much. But, owing to the increasing popularity of slimmer styles, it's becoming a more and more visible issue as of late.
So, just a friendly reminder: Your suit should actually fit you. Your jacket should skim your shoulders, nip in at the waist, and be long enough to cover your backside. Your trousers should be trim, and hemmed properly, but not so narrow and short that it looks like they shrunk in the wash. While looking like a baggy mess is always to be avoided, looking like a stuffed sausage is no better.
