IN BLACK FOLKS NEWS....ATL
Famed producer Will Packer has a new television series in the works. And he’s taking it back to his beloved hometown of Atlanta.
The Think Like A Man producer has sold a new drama, based in Atlanta, to NBC titled “Buckhead,” making it the first TV sale for his Will Packer Productions company.
He’s set to executive produce alongside Head of Television for Will Packer Prods, Korin Huggins, who’s co-executive producing.
According to Deadline, the hour-long series, written and executive produced by David McMillan, was booked through Universal TV where Will recently hashed out the details for his overall deal through 2017.
A synopsis of the series reads:
Buckhead is described as a drama about ambition, sex, and revenge set in the extravagant, high-stakes world of Atlanta politics, entertainment, churches and strip clubs.
