ALBINO'S STAY AWAY FROM AFRICA
NAIROBI, Kenya — The mistaken belief that albino body parts have magical powers has driven thousands of Africa's albinos into hiding, fearful of losing their lives and limbs to unscrupulous dealers who can make up to $75,000 selling a complete dismembered set.
Mary Owido, who lacks pigment that gives color to skin, eyes and hair, says she is only comfortable when at work or at home with her husband and children.
"Wherever I go people start talking about me, saying that my legs and hands can fetch a fortune in Tanzania," said Owido, 36, a mother of six. "This kind of talk scares me. I am afraid of going out alone."
Since 2007, 44 albinos have been killed in Tanzania and 14 others have been slain in Burundi, sparking widespread fear among albinos in East Africa.
At least 10,000 have been displaced or gone into hiding since the killings began, according to a report released this week by the International Federation for the Red Cross and Crescent societies.
East Africa's latest albino murder happened in Tanzania's Mwanza region in late October, when albino hunters beheaded 10-year-old Gasper Elikana and chopped off his leg, the report said. The killing left Elikana's father, who tried to defend his son, seriously injured.
Albinism is a hereditary condition, but occurs only when both parents have albinism genes. All six of Owido's children have normal skin color.
African albinos endure insults, discrimination and segregation throughout their lives. They also have a high risk of contracting skin cancer in a region where many jobs are outdoors.
Owido, a high school teacher in the western Kenyan town of Ahero, says she was forced to transfer from a better teaching job on the Kenya-Tanzania border town of Isebania in 2008 after an albino girl she knew was murdered and her body parts chopped off.
The surge in the use of albino body parts as good luck charms is a result of "a kind of marketing exercise by witch doctors," the International Federation for the Red Cross and Crescent societies said.
The report says the market for albino parts exists mainly in Tanzania, where a complete set of body parts — including all limbs, genitals, ears, tongue and nose — can sell for $75,000. Wealthy buyers use the parts as talismans to bring them wealth and good fortune.
"Albinism is one of the most unfortunate vulnerabilities," said International Federation for the Red Cross and Crescent societies Secretary General Bekele Geleta. "And it needs to be addressed immediately at an international level."
The chairman of the Albino Association of Kenya, Isaac Mwaura, called the murders deplorable but said the killings have given albinos a platform to raise awareness.
Almost 90 percent of albinos living in the region were raised by single mothers, Mwaura said, because the fathers believed their wives were having affairs with white men.
"When I was born my father said his family tree doesn't have such children and left us," Mwaura said.
Some African communities believe that albinos are harbingers of disaster, while others mistakenly think albinos are mentally retarded and discourage their parents from taking them to school, saying it's a waste of money, he said.
Due to a lack of education, many albinos are illiterate and are forced into menial jobs, exposing them to the sun and skin cancer, he said. Those who manage to finish school face discrimination in the work place and are never considered for promotions.
"People are very blind to albinism but it is very visible. Now that we have this issue in Tanzania is when people have started to talk about albinism," Mwaura said. "Before there was a studious silence."

THANKFULNESS....
THANKFULNESS
For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving.1Tim.4: 4 (KJV)
A spirit of gratitude & praise changes the way we look at life. Complaining connects us to our unhappiness- gratitude & praise connects us to the source of real JOY. When we make thanksgiving a regular part of our life, we stay focused on all God has done & continues to do for us. Let us have an attitude of thankfulness!!

There’s a lot of FRICTION between Black men and Black women. We can lie to ourselves and pretend that the problem is not there, or we can do something to try and address this problem. What I’m trying to do is create a dialogue, so that we can take a look at this problem.
These are some PICTURES of BLACK MEN that date, and marry outside of their race.
In looking at these pictures I notice that a lot of brothers are now dating Asian women, and there’s nothing wrong with that because when two people are in love, their skin color shouldn’t matter.
These are some good brothers, there’s no question about that, but I’ve often heard Black men complain about Black women hot temper, and their attitude. A few weeks ago I was talking to some brothers, and they said man I love sisters, but it seems like they are never satisfied.
With that being said when we look at these pictures, then we have to ask this question--------is it possible that some sisters, are driving brothers away?

A CLASSIC REVISITED....TORTURE
"Torture" is the second single released off the album Victory by the band, The Jacksons. Written by Jackie Jackson and fellow Motown veteran Kathy Wakefield, the song is about someone ending a relationship, and the torture that a person can receive whilst trying to end it. Jackie was originally going to sing the song with his brother, Michael, but Jackie's role instead went to Jermaine Jackson, whose availability for the album was in question until the last minute. The rest of the Jacksons sang the chorus along with Michael and Jermaine.
The song received a mixed reaction from critics. The music video was most well known for Michael not being available, in which case a dummy had to be put in his place throughout the video. Paula Abdul choreographed the video, in which various scenes of torture are displayed, with the Jacksons being on the receiving end of most of the torture. The song peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it the second best selling single on the album, behind "State of Shock". It also peaked at number 26 on the UK charts.

IS ATLANTA NOT THE CITY TO BE LIVING IN RIGHT NOW???
The city of Atlanta is broke, and not even the prospect of a new mayor can change that fact.
Due to mismanagement of funds and widespread fraud perpetrated by the last two mayoral administrations, there is no money left in the city budget for the most basic city improvements or services like paving streets, fixing broken lights, repairing washed out bridges or an archaic drainage system that leaves entire neighborhoods under 15 feet of water after a drenching downpour.
Because of the budgetary constraints, DOT workers have been laid off and highway improvement projects put on hold. As a result, traffic gridlock during rush hour is the worst it’s ever been in recent memory.
If you travel anywhere inside or outside of the perimeter on 285, GA 400, or the downtown connector during rush hour, you might as well bring a good book because it will be awhile before you reach your destination. And that’s when there are no traffic accidents to impede the flow of traffic.
But worst of all, there is no money in the city budget to hire and train new police recruits or retain good, veteran officers. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper, police officers, many of whom never received promised pay raises from Mayor Shirley Franklin, have resigned at a rate nearly twice the national average, leaving the department with about 1,600 officers for 5.5 million Metropolitan area residents.
You do the math.
The AJC wrote a revealing expose’ on the inefficient, and sometimes negligent 911 system and the hours it takes for the Atlanta police to answer a high priority call in the city of Atlanta.
Due to the crippling police shortage and job vacancies within the 911 system, it takes an average of two hours for police to respond to high priority calls.
According to Chief Richard Pennington (who came to us from New Orleans’ corrupt police department), only reports of shots fired brings police to your door in under 10 minutes. Every other call is placed in a queue for up to an hour before police are dispatched.
On a warm afternoon in May, a woman watched a middle-aged man in a yellow jumpsuit chasing children on the playground at Phoenix Park while exposing himself. She quickly reached for her cell phone and called 911. A 911 operator assured the woman that an officer was on the way. Normally a call of this nature would bring the police running in under 3 minutes.
But instead, the 911 operator sent a message to a police dispatcher who held the call for a ridiculous 56 minutes and five seconds before sending an officer! Almost an hour had passed between the time the woman placed the 911 call and the officer arrived to arrest the child molester — who happened to still be there terrorizing the children.
In stark contrast to Atlanta’s police problems, I live in quiet, bucolic Chamblee Dunwoody which has a separate police force. If I call 911 to report a noise disturbance, two officers from Dunwoody police force will show up at my door in 4 minutes showing great concern and apologizing for being one minute late.
So if you’re thinking of moving your family to Atlanta, don’t do it. You’re better off remaining where you are. Nothing could be worse than living in Atlanta right now.

Report: 65% Of All Wildlife Now Used As Homosexual Subculture Signifier
A study released Tuesday by the Stanford University Department of Linguistics revealed that nearly two-thirds of all animal species have been adopted to describe various gay subcultures. "Many know that bears are large hairy gay men, and that otters are homosexuals who are smaller in stature but still hirsute," said Professor Arvid Sabin, lead author of the study, which also clarifies such denotations as wolf, panda bear, dragonfly, starfish, trout, and yeti. "But do they know, for instance, that 'chicken' is used to describe a thin, inexperienced 18- to 29-year-old gay male? Before long, we could see homosexuals referring to one another as pelicans or even Gila monsters." The study concluded that if immediate conservation measures are not taken, all animal species will be exhausted by 2015 and the gay community will have to start dipping into the plant kingdom.

MORE PROOF THERE IS A SHORTAGE OF STR8 MEN IN ATLANTA....
As I told you before, here in Atlanta, we have a black male shortage crisis. Because of that, women often find themselves involved with the same man.
This is what happened to two Clayton County middle school teachers who allowed their emotions to get in the way of their good common sense.
Rex Mill Middle School teachers Chaka Cobb and Ebony Smith were charged with misdemeanors following a profanity laced altercation in front of students.
The fight was over a man, Rex Mill physical education teacher Derek Green. The altercation was sparked by a love letter posted by Ebony Smith to Green’s Facebook page begging him for more pillow time.
“I am in love with you. I am tired of being your every blue moon [expletive],” the letter read.
Cobb, who is pregnant with Green’s child, read the letter and posted an angry response to Smith. The two women later confronted each other at the school.
“There was swinging and hitting and profanity between the two,” read an administrative complaint filed with the teachers professional board. Smith took the first swing at Cobb and the fight was broken up by several teachers.
Smith turned in her resignation on Monday in lieu of being terminated, according to the AJC.
Cobb was suspended without pay for 19.5 days. She will return to work on Dec. 4. Green was suspended for 10 days without pay. Though he wasn’t involved in the altercation, he violated the school board’s policy against fraternizing. Green returned to work on Monday.
All three teachers were found to be in violation of school board ethics and professional standard of conduct policies for educators.
In a letter submitted to school administration, Cobb blamed her uncharacteristic behavior to her “raging hormones” because of her pregnancy. “I felt extremely threatened for myself and my fully developed child inside of me,” she wrote.
Smith called the situation “childish and embarrassing.”
Cobb and Smith’s cases have been assigned to a State Court judge. They will likely be arraigned in January, 2010.

FATHER MURDERS HIS OWN SON EXECUTION STYLE FOR MOLESTING HIS SISTER....
A father in Michigan shot his son in the head for allegedly admitting to him that he had touched his 3-year-old sister sexually:
The family of slain 15-year-old Jamar Pinkney, Jr. was overcome with emotions Wednesday as his father was led into court and arraigned on first-degree murder charges in his death.Police said Jamar Pinkney, Sr. forced his son, Jamar Pinkney Jr., to get naked and then he led him out of his mother’s Highland Park home Monday and shot him execution-style in the head in a nearby field. Jamar Pinkney, Sr. was charged with first-degree murder, which carries a maximum penalty of life in prison without chance for parole. He was also charged with three counts of felonious assault and felony with a firearm. Highland Park Judge Bridgette Officer arraigned the 37-year-old on the charges Wednesday afternoon in 30th District Court. Jamar Pinkney, Sr. pleaded guilty at the arraignment.
“In the event that there’s evidence that he did do this…that’s something that either a jury or a judge would have to take a good, hard look at,” said the defendant’s attorney, Corbett Edge O’Meara.
A judge ordered the father held without bond and set a preliminary examination for Dec. 1. “You seen the look on this face, no expressions or nothing, just a cold-hearted murder,” said one of the victim’s family members outside the courtroom Wednesday. The victim’s mother and her sister told police that Jamar Pinkney, Sr. came into the home Monday afternoon with a gun and began arguing with his son. Family members said the argument stemmed from a confession made by the son. According to Jamar Pinkney, Jr.’s family, the teen told his mother that he’d touched his 3-year-old half-sister inappropriately at his father’s Detroit home. The toddler is his father’s daughter with another woman. Jamar Pinkney, Jr.’s aunt Yolanda Cherry told Local 4 she was in the home during the argument. “He beat my nephew real bad in the head, where he had knots like he had been in a boxing ring,” said Cherry. When Cherry tried to intervene, she said, the father pulled out a gun.
“I ran down the street to get police down here and I heard a gunshot,” said Cherry. Witnesses at the scene told Local 4 that they saw Jamar Pinkney, Sr. order the naked teen out of the home and to an empty field. A woman who did not want her identity revealed told Local 4 what she saw.
“He brought him out the house, he walked him over there and said, ‘Get on the ground,’ and he’s like, ‘No, Daddy, no, Daddy,’ and next thing you know, he grabbed his head and he shot him,” said the witness. The witness said the father calmly got into his vehicle and drove away. “He was calm and drove off like a regular person, like he didn’t do anything, and I am like, ‘wow,’” said the witness. Police were looking for the father after he fled the area. He was caught a few hours later. “Whatever my grandson did there, there is nothing in this world that was worth taking his life. He got him down on his knees and killed him,” said the boy’s grandfather.
“No individual has the right to exact the death penalty on another, no matter how reprehensible the behavior. That is why we have laws,” said Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy. Jamar was a sophomore at Martin Luther King High School. Family members said he was active in sports. Jamar Pinkney, Jr.’s aunt Janice Burkes said she doesn’t believe the allegations of molestation because her nephew was a sweet boy and very good with kids. “No I can’t believe that I think. It’s a bunch of crap,” said Burkes. A candlelight vigil for the victim was held Tuesday evening in Highland Park. His funeral has been set for Monday. A fund has been set up to help the family with burial expenses. Donations can be made at the Charter One Bank branch in Highland Park.

WTF GA NEWS...TEACHERS PUTS HIT OUT ON "GAY" STUDENT
A TEACHER named Randolph Forde, is in deep mess, after he asked a student if he was gay, supposedly committed terrorist threats, and allegedly put out a hit on the little ‘dude’:
Clayton County schools are investigating charges a teacher threatened a student after questioning the teen’s sexuality. Randolph Forde, a teacher at Mundy’s Mill High School
, remains on administrative leave with pay, schools spokesman Charles White said Monday. Jail records show Forde was arrested last month of charges of terrorist threats and released on a $10,000 bond. School officials postponed the employment hearing scheduled on Tuesday for Forde to face possible disciplinary action, White said, under advice from the district’s attorney that there had been no sufficient prior notice.
“We needed to post notice of the hearing a full 24 hours prior, according to the the (Georgia) Open Meetings Act,” White said late Monday night. But Terrence Madden, the student’s attorney, said neither he nor his client were informed of the change, and complained that the school district was stalling. “Nothing has changed as far as evidence,” Madden said. “They had no legitimate reason except that it had gone public.”
The hearing will be rescheduled within the next two weeks, but probably will be after Thanksgiving, said White, who responded to Madden’s complaints: “He can say what he wants to.” According to the student’s attorney, Forde pulled the 16-year-old student out of class and asked him if he was gay. “A child’s sexuality is never a teacher’s business,” said Marcia Killebrew, the student’s mother. “I feel like the man was being extremely inappropriate.” The next day, the teacher got into a verbal altercation in an algebra class, said Madden. “The teacher threatened to hit him in his ‘f-ing mouth,’” Madden said. A few days later, Forde asked another student to “put a hit” on the teenager, according to a police report. “The suspect advised to the witness that he would pay him to kill the victim,” the report states. The teacher wrote the victim’s name on a note and showed it to another student on the school bus, the report says. Forde’s attorney, Borquaye Thomas, said the 16-year-old only complained after he got in trouble for another incident. “The allegation is he made a hit on him, but that was not what was said nor what was intended,” Thomas said. “The student only complained after he was getting suspended.”
Forde asked the student about being gay after he saw the boy dancing inappropriately with another male student in class, Thomas said. “All of the students knew Mr. Forde was joking,” Thomas said. “The other students said Mr. Forde always plays around with them like that.” Killebrew, the targeted student’s mother, contacted Clayton County police, who presented the allegations to a magistrate judge. A judge issued an arrest warrant on Oct. 13, according to court records.
The teacher has since been released from jail, but was ordered to stay away from the student. Killebrew said she took her son out of school for seven days. He returned to class following the arrest. “He’s really scared. He’s at the point where he trusted the authorities at school and now he is real untrusting,” she said. Forde waived a preliminary hearing and is waiting for the case to be sent to a grand jury, Madden said. Forde has been teaching in Clayton since August 2008, White said. He will remain on administrative leave while school officials conduct an investigation.
A NEW DIRECTION*
“O Lord, You have heard the desire and the longing of the humble and
oppressed; You will prepare and strengthen and direct their hearts, You will
cause Your ear to hear.”* *Psalm 10:17 AMP*
Sometimes we come to an unhappy place in our lives. If we examine ourselves
on those days, we will most likely discover that the things that make us
most unhappy are the fruit of the choices that we made earlier.
Today can be a new start. I think God gave us twenty-four-hour days because
He knew that was all we could handle. His mercies are new every morning.
You can start over this morning and live today for the Lord. Determine to
follow wherever God leads you, and do whatever He tells you to do. You can
expect better tomorrows when you live right today.

GA HAS SOME FUCKED UP LAWS....MILITARY MOM PENDING CHARGES FOR REFUSING TO LEAVE BABY IN GEORGIA
A single mom could face criminal charges after skipping her deployment flight to Afghanistan and refusing to leave the country.
Spc. Alexis Hutchinson, 21, remains in custody and is confined to Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia. She was arrested 11 days ago by military police after missing her unit's flight.
As of now, no charges have been filed against the woman, but investigation is currently underway by commanders, according to a spokesperson for the Army post.
Such a bold move is highly frowned upon, but the reasoning was in order to take care of her infant son, who would not have had the proper supervision or care if she were to leave and go overseas.
In regards to her child, Kamani was placed into in the hands of a daycare provider overnight once his mother was arrested and then was put in the custody of her mother a week ago where she took the child back to their home in California.
Hutchinson states that the only other possibility for her son to stay with family would have been to go with her mother, Angelique Hughes, but she added that her mother is already overwhelmed as she is currently taking care of three other family members that have health problems. Along with family, the mother also has a daycare in which she is in charge of 14 other children.
Hughes even added that the weight would be too much to hold and she wasn't sure if she could provide the necessary 24-hour care needed for the infant.
Some pay ponder why she wouldn't motion for this fact, but the actuality of her circumstances is the fact that her superiors told her to deploy, regardless of the fact, and just have her child placed inside foster care.
Reported by the Associated Press, Rai Sue Sussman, the civilian attorney for Hutchinson, spoke on the behalf of her client and her pending situation.
"For her it was like, 'I couldn't abandon my child'. She was really afraid of what would happen, that if she showed up they would send her to Afghanistan anyway and put her son with child protective services."
The mother and daughter had originally had a plan for Hughes to care for the child if Hutchinson was deployed as the Army requires single-parents to issue a care plan for dependent children before they can actually be deployed into combat. Her mother realized after two weeks that she couldn't care for the child for a whole year.
"This is an infant, and they require 24-hour care," Hughes said. "It was very, very stressful, just too much for me to deal with."
According to Kevin Larson, a spokesperson for Hunter Army Airfield, he is unaware of what Hutchinson stated to her superiors, but added that a single parent would not be deployed if there was no one to care for his/her child. The investigation will serve as a means to get to the bottom of what actually transpired. He also added that if she would have brought her child with her to the deployment terminal, her departure would have been cancelled.
"Spc. Hutchinson's deployment is halted," Larson said. "There will be no deployment while this situation is ongoing."
Larson added that Hutchinson will remain in Georgia as facts are gathered on her case.
With all of the facts that are presented, what exactly is the problem?
This serves as yet another example of how America is built by the people, but not meant to serve the people. Why should a woman be forced to bring her child to the terminal to provide validity?
Let's clap our hands for the country whose mindset is more focused on taking out those around of us instead of caring for those with us.
LOVE VS. LUST....OR SUPERMAN VS. THE INCREDIBLE HULK
(SUPERMAN)Love is any of a number of emotions and experiences related to a sense of strong affection and attachment. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure ("I loved that meal") to intense interpersonal attraction ("I love my husband"). This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.
As an abstract concept, love usually refers to a deep, ineffable feeling of tenderly caring for another person. Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual emotional closeness of familial and platonic love to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love. Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.
(THE INCREDIBLE HULK)Lust (or lechery) is a craving for sexual intercourse, sometimes to the point of assuming a self-indulgent or violent character. Lust, or a desire for the flesh of another, is considered a sin, or impure act, in the three major Abrahamic religions.

WORD OF THE DAY...BEARD
A “beard” is a woman who poses like she’s the girlfriend (or wife) of a gay man to throw gossip hounds off the scent.
WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON WITH SAMMY?
In the United States, a large number of professional baseball players are from Latin America, especially the Caribbean. They usually come from very poor backgrounds, and many of them are black or mixed race. Sammy Sosa, one of the best players in baseball, is Dominican, and comes from a part of the DR with a large population of African descendants.
Sammy, despite his success, is no stranger to controversy: he was accused of (and found to be) using steroids, and was often made fun of for his poor English. I felt bad for him in both circumstances, considering how many baseball players use performance-enhancing drugs, and considering how difficult it is to master a second language as an adult.
But his most recent controversy is really upsetting.
Last week, Sammy made several public appearances in which his skin appeared visibly lighter, as well as using colored contacts. He was accused of using Michael Jackson-like techniques to change his skin color, and of being a racist rejecting his African heritage. He denied suffering from vitiligo, and claims that he chose to lighten his skin for aesthetic reasons using a special cream.
The magical cream, he says, is to help repair his skin from decades of sun damage while playing baseball. He also refused to say the brand or name of the cream, claiming the company had offered him an endorsement deal still in the works.
Before I lived in Latin America, I had no idea about the depth of racism or how it affects people's daily lives, which is especially true in the Dominican Republic. It was there where I learned how people are classified by the exact shade of their skin (there are literally dozens if not hundreds of names), where people make excuses for being dark (claiming they are outside a lot in the summer, or that they play sports), where no one dares call anyone negro (black) unless they're Haitian. Being called black is the ultimate insult.
So this entire story was just horrifying to me, because I can imagine the repercussions in the DR and in the rest of Latin America, even in the US. The idea that a rich black man can lighten his skin because he feels it makes him "look better" has really heart-breaking implications. Given Brazil's obsession with cosmetic surgery and procedures, large black population and historic racism that persists but that few dare acknowledge, this product could potentially become a hot item in the Brazilian market.
Sammy agreed to speak to Univision about the change, claiming he wasn't a racist and chuckling through most of the interview. When asked if he's proud to be black, he says he has been since he was born, but "I want to look my best." O sea, being black is not looking his best. The interviewer, also black, who was trying to be a hard-hitting reporter for most of the interview, half-jokingly asked Sammy to give him the cream to try.

DEAD SCHOOL PRESIDENT: UPDATED INFORMATION
The body of Chicago Board of Education President Michael Scott, pictured on the right with the Reverend Jesse Jackson, was found alongside the Chicago river early this morning. Police believe Scott shot himself in the head. A handgun was found near his body.
According to Jesse Jackson who spoke with Scott last week, he was under tremendous pressure from the community and the White House to address the gang violence that took the life of 16-year-old Derrion Albert in October.
Other sources believe Scott’s job was on the line due to the intense media scrutiny given to the case. The savage death of the Fenger High student on Sept. 24 was captured on a cell phone camera and went viral on YouTube.
His death prompted visits to the school from the Reverends Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. And the president of the United States sent U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Education Secretary Arne Duncan to visit Chicago in October to talk about what the Obama administration is doing to combat youth violence.
