NEW RESPECT FOR THE GOOD GIRL....AND SHE'S KILLING THE PICS
Teyana Taylor set the record straight about her relationship with Chris, her virginity and Perez Hilton calling her a dumb bit*h.
On Chris:
Chris is my brother. I’ve always said that. People say a lot of things about me and I’m like I’m only 18. Really??? Is it that serious? People have said I was gay and all type of stuff. Yeh some bloggers, well not really bloggers, but the commenters have said that about me. How can I be gay if I’m still a virgin?
On being a Virgin:
The one thing people can never say is that I’m a hoe. I have a purity ring. The only time you get in trouble is if you attempt to do something. If you’re laying up on a boy then something is going to happen. So I just keep my legs closed until I am ready for that. I can’t have a boyfriend because the only thing they want to do is have sex. I don’t want no fingers up there, no penis, nothing!!! Uh uh (shaking her head no).
On Perez Hilton calling her a dumb bit*h
A while back I took up for Chris Brown and got called a dumb b*tch by Perez Hilton. I mean that was crazy. He got mad because I wouldn’t respond back to him. He just wanted the publicity and he is not gonna get it on my back. I took up for Chris because he was my friend and my brother even before the Rihanna stuff. I’m not gonna leave him because he made a mistake
TOP FIVE REASONS WOMEN CHEAT....WE MEN CHEAT BECAUSE SOMEBODY ELSE WANTS US...
1.) She feels a lack of attention and/or not appreciated - men will make great strides to acquire his lady of interest and once she’s, without a doubt, riding for team WE or US, the romance stops. No more flowers and tokens of appreciation to show you care, no more complimenting the body parts you fell in love with, etc. A woman never wants to feel alone in a relationship. If she’s not getting the attention she needs at home, she will find it elsewhere.
2.) Too much weight - if you’re the guy with the psychotic ex-girlfriend, crazy mother of his child(ren), thug/scrub friends, you have to keep all those relationships in check at all times. There is no bigger turn-off than coming home to your unemployed homeboys playing Madden of your sofa, drinking up the beer, eating all the snacks, not knowing when it’s time to leave. There is nothing more unnerving than your children’s mother stressing you then the effects of the drama trickling down into the relationship. It’s hard enough to accept the listed circumstances, but there’s a sea of men who don’t have such excessive baggage and more than enough time and attention to devote to your woman. And he will be more than a temptation, he’ll be a breath of fresh air.
3.) Monotony - you have to keep things fresh, period. Monotony will bore anyone. If your coupledom is suffering from the same routine on the daily basis, chances are a woman will seek passion in a new or old fling. Again, women are into romance, so you don’t have to go all out with it, but just remind her that you care. Chinese take-out, blockbuster movies, Mike and Ikes and intimate conversation would be more than enough occasionally. A spontaneous dinner date or late night walk will also suffice. Be creative. But a slap on the as* and “babe can I get some pretzels and chips for the game” every Sunday and Monday night is for the birds. If she starts doing a “girls night” on your football nights, chances are ….
4.) Sex sucks - if your lady starts to grow increasingly disinterested in gettin’ it in with you, something is up. But ask yourself if your performance in the bedroom has been lackluster or less than satisfactory. Have you forgotten the freak within her and simply do it to get yourself off … sexually selfish. Women have sexual needs that demand attention and fulfillment! If you’re not performing, someone else will gladly get the job done. So when you do love your lady, you better do it like you might not get to do it again!
5.) Vengeance - if you’re the guy who slipped up a time or two and betrayed your lady, who was gracious enough to let it go, you shouldn’t let this happen again. Ever. Don’t even show the slightest bit suspect behavior, this could send her over the edge! Remember, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and if she feels like you deserve to feel the same pain you’ve dealt her … it’s payback time, and it will sting. So keep your parts in your pants and in house, no b.s., no suspicious behavior. She might just be waiting for you to slip up so she can have the clearance to do the same.

SALARY SECRETS YOU NEED TO KNOW....
In down economic times, companies seem to have carte blanche to limit salaries and make low-ball offers. But that shouldn't be the case.
Below are the top salary secrets your employer doesn't want you to know. With this information in hand, you'll be in a better position to get the pay you deserve.
Employers don't always offer a fair salary.
Some employers think they're being fair, but they're not up-to-date with the latest salary information. Others may try to pay less than the market value because they're financially strapped. That's why it's important that you know exactly how much money you should be making. A free salary report can help you calculate how much you should be earning in any job.
You can negotiate your salary in a tight job market.
In a recession, many people would rather take a pay cut than lose their jobs. Raises are hard to come by and new hires may feel they have less negotiating power. But that doesn't mean it's impossible to bump up your salary; it's just a little more challenging.
According to a recent survey from the Society for Human Resource Management, 80 percent of HR professionals say employers are willing to negotiate salaries. So, if you're looking for a raise at your current job, come armed with your marketplace worth and make your case. And, if you've been offered a job that pays less than you like, don't be afraid to name your realistic asking price. Keep in mind that, if you got the offer, you're clearly the best candidate for the job -- even in this highly competitive job market.
New hires sometimes earn more than long-term employees.
When there's a strong job market, organizations need to do whatever they can to attract top candidates. This often means that starting salaries may be higher for newbies than they are for long-term employees. Given the current economic conditions, that's less the norm these days, but it still happens in certain industries. If you suspect that a new hire with similar responsibilities is making more than you are, use current salary data to approach your manager with the request to bring your salary up to par.
Your performance doesn't decide your pay.
While your performance is one important factor in the salary equation, your pay is also a reflection of many other factors, including:
The job market -- lower pay is more acceptable in tighter job markets.
Location -- generally the higher the cost of living, the higher your salary.
Years of service -- in many cases, the longer you've been with a company, the higher your pay.
Organization size -- large organizations tend to pay more than small ones.
Education level -- in most cases, the more education you have, the higher your pay. Take a free education test to find out how going back to school can help you earn more.
If you're a valued employee who isn't making the money you deserve, you do have options. Know your value and make your case with the help of your free salary report. And know too, that many employers -- particularly larger employers -- have a little more in the "raise kitty" than they let on.

UPDATE ON FREAKY JUDGE...(HE LOOKS FREAKY TO ME)
Remember the Alabama judge, Herman Thomas, who was accused of being gay and making prisoners do something strange for a sentence change? Well, the verdict came in regarding his case:
A former Alabama judge accused of checking male inmates out of jail and forcing them to engage in sexual activity was found…
… not guilty Monday on charges of sexual abuse, attempted sodomy and assault, his lawyer said. Attorney Robert Clark said former Judge Herman Thomas was found not guilty on several charges and the judge in the case granted a directed verdict of acquittal on all the other counts.
The Mobile County district attorney did not immediately return CNN calls for comment. Thomas, 48, denied wrongdoing. Clark said on October 20 that the judge was trying to mentor the inmates and did not assault them. The judge does not deny bringing the inmates into his office, Clark said last week. “He was mentoring them. He was trying to get them to do right, to be productive citizens.”
Thomas cried after the verdicts were read, Clark said Monday. “He hugged me and he hugged his wife. And he had a courtroom full of supporters. It all worked out in the end,” the attorney said. One of the alleged victims testified October 19 that he doesn’t know why his semen was found on the carpet of a small room used as an office by Thomas, according to The Mobile Press-Register newspaper. But he did say Thomas spanked him with a belt on several occasions, the newspaper reported, and that the paddling took place inside a jury room, in the small office and at a Mobile, Alabama, fraternity house.
Another man testified that after he was charged with kidnapping and robbery in 2002, Thomas visited him in jail and urged the man to let Thomas decide the case instead of a jury, according to the Press-Register. Thomas convicted him of lesser charges, he testified, and sentenced him to a 90-day boot camp. He said Thomas also beat him with a belt on his bare buttocks about a dozen times at the courthouse, the newspaper reported. Neither man was identified. “All of them [the alleged victims] were given preferential treatment at some point,” Nicki Patterson, chief assistant district attorney for Mobile County, said earlier this month. “And ultimately, when some of them refused to continue participating [in the activities], they were given what I would view as excessive sentences. But certainly while the inmates were involved with the activities we allege, the state would say, it was extremely lenient sentences.”
Clark said his client’s next hurdle is the Alabama State Bar. “They suspended him back in March because he got indicted. And we’re fighting to give him his law license back,” he said.

THE NEW GOLDEN RULE...2009
"Treat others the way you would like to be treated, NOT treat others the way they treat you."
PRAYER OF THE DAY....SAY THIS DAILY
"God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change...
...Courage to change the things I can... And the Wisdom to know the difference"
...Courage to change the things I can... And the Wisdom to know the difference"
REAL FRIENDS VS. SIMPLE FRIENDS
Anyone can stand by you when you are right, but a Friend will stand by you even when you are wrong... A simple friend identifies himself when he calls. A real friend doesn't have to. A simple friend opens a conversation with a full news bulletin on his life. A real friend says, "What's new with you?" A simple friend thinks the problems you whine about are recent. A real friend says, "You've been whining about the same thing for 14 years. Get off your duff and do something about it." A simple friend has never seen you cry. A real friend has shoulders soggy from your tears. A simple friend doesn't know your parents' first names. A real friend has their phone numbers in his address book. A simple friend hates it when you call after he has gone to bed. A real friend asks you why you took so long to call. A simple friend seeks to talk with you about your problems. A real friend seeks to help you with your problems. A simple friend, when visiting, acts like a guest. A real friend opens your refrigerator and helps himself. A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument. A real friend knows that it's not a friendship until after you've had a fight. A simple friend expects you to always be there for them. A real friend expects to always be there for you!
MORE FRIDAY WTF....SAD BUT TRUE...15 ABORTIONS IN 16 YEARS
Meet Irene Vilar. She is addicted to abortions. You will not believe how many she has had. It is in the teens:
Irene Vilar worries that her self-described “abortion addiction” will be misunderstood, twisted by the pro-life movement to deny women the right to choose. Her book, “Impossible Motherhood,” chronicles her own dark choices of having… …15 abortions in 16 years, much of it as a married woman. As press on the book has begun to leak out, Vilar — a literary agent and editor — says she has already sensed “an inkling of hatred.”
At the age of 16 she married a tyrannical 50-year-old professor, a relationship which made her ashamed, belittled and depressed. She self-harmed and attempted suicide several times but continued to get pregnant with monotonous regularity. “I had twelve abortions in eleven years with my first husband,” says Irene who is now very regretful of her troubled past. Her other three abortions were with different men as Irene continued to use abortion as if it were contraception. Thankfully Irene uncovered the courage to end her dysfunctional marriage and found a healthy and compassionate love with a new husband, a writer and poet of her own age. Luckily her repeated terminations had not damaged her reproductive system and she now has a happy family with her husband and two young girls aged three and five.
FRIDAY WTF....10 BLACK WOMEN MISSING OR DEAD IN SMALL N.C. TOWN...
Jesus please take the wheel over in Rocky Mount, N.C., where 10 black women have either been found murdered or are still missing. To make matters worst, these sad cases haven’t even been receiving media attention:
Ten women have been found slain or have been declared missing in Rocky Mount, N.C., in recent years. But the rest of the country hasn’t heard about…… a possible serial killer stalking the young women in this Southern town of 60,000. The latest victim, Elizabeth Jane Smallwood, was identified on Oct. 12. Why have the Rocky Mount homicides been largely ignored?
“When you think about the famous missing person cases over the last few years it’s Chandra Levy, Natalee Holloway, and Laci Peterson,” notes Sam Sommers, associate professor of psychology at Tufts University. All these women had a few things in common—they were white, educated, and came from middle-class families. The victims in Rocky Mount—which residents describe as a “typical Southern town,” and is about 40 percent white and more than 50 percent black—were different. They were all African-American, many were poor, and some had criminal histories including drug abuse and prostitution.
Police have not officially linked all the murders and disappearances, but community members claim the similarities among the women, their lifestyles, and the location of their bodies make a connection all too obvious. “If you find two bodies in the same location, this could be the work of the same person or people,” says Rocky Mount Police Chief John Manley, who would not comment on a connection, but implied the possibility.
“If it was someone of a different race, things would have been dealt with the first time around; it wouldn’t have taken the fifth or sixth person to be murdered,” says Andre Knight, a city-council member and president of the local NAACP chapter. “All these women knew each other and lived in the same neighborhood; this is the sign of a potential serial killer. When it didn’t get the kind of attention it needed, it made the African-American community frustrated.”
What is really going on?

PRETTY FOR A DARK SKINNED GIRL....TAMEKA FOSTER RAYMOND
I am a dark-skinned African American woman with features that reflect my ancestry. Debates regarding Light vs. Dark and other biases have plagued our race for years and continues to impact millions of Black women. The deeply rooted intra-racial contempt that lies beneath this inane "compliment" is the reason I've chosen to spark dialogue surrounding the topic of self-hatred in our culture. It saturates every aspect of our lives, dominating the perspectives of our generation as a whole. We culturally are so influential, at times inadvertently, that we affect all with the words we utter and the images we portray. It lends to the theory of systemic racism. I'm authoring this piece because I'm miffed by this reality and would like to share my views on these subjects.
It is a fact that many African-Americans are often mixed with an array of other ethnicities (as am I), which allows for the spectrum of our features to be as distinctive and special as we are diverse. Why is it felt that the more diluted our traditionally African features become the more aesthetically acceptable we are considered? It was said in the 1960s and the sentiment seems to be forgotten, "Black is Beautiful." Wow, nearly 50 years later and is that now only meant for a specific shade? Nonetheless, I believe the beauty of our people and splendor of every individual is reflected in our varying features and hues.
Often dark-skinned women are considered mean, domineering and standoffish and it was these very labels that followed Michelle Obama during the campaign for her husband's presidency and which she has had to work tirelessly to combat. I was appalled when I heard a Black woman refer to Michelle Obama as unattractive. The conversation turned into why President Obama picked her as his mate. No one in the witch-hunt made reference to the possibility that Michelle Obama was smart, funny, caring, a good person, highly accomplished or brilliant. Nor did they mention that she previously was President Obama's supervisor. If she were fair skinned, petite with long straight or wavy hair, would the same opinions be linked to her? I seriously doubt it. It is believed that for the dark skinned, dreams are less obtainable.
In fact, I have read similar comments about myself that I am "dark, aggressive, bossy and bitchy." It has been stated that my husband should have been with a "younger, more beautiful" woman. Astoundingly, the majority of the remarks come from African-American women and are mimicked by others. Sadly enough, I don't know nor have I met 99% of those making these assertions. Funny, how we can judge another without having personally seen, interacted with or experienced a person's character.
As I began to delve into further research on this topic, and the more I read, I concluded that many of our people do not like what they see in the mirror. Seeing ones own reflection in another person and then to dissect it in an effort to destroy can only be the product of self-loathing. Why don't we congratulate as opposed to hate?
There is an adage "hurt people, hurt people". If this is true then we must examine the root of negative words and judgments that are passed on people. Unfortunately, we have internal stereotypes based off of skin color and facial features that stem from years of programming, dating back to the "Willie Lynch" method for creating a slave. In this infamous formula, one of the main factors in separating and creating division was placing the lighter skinned blacks in a higher position in the house, while those with darker skin were made to stay in the fields and deemed "less desirable". Much like the Caste System in India. No matter what strides we make as a people, these issues continue to plague and rot our souls, causing significant decay to a portion of our population and truly hindering our progress. Perhaps we show progress in our wallets and lifestyles but not in our mind set.
Reading magazines, social media sites, watching our music videos, and television shows feed our appetites for all things 'beauty". Rarely, however do I see depictions of grace and elegance in the form of dark complexioned women. I Googled one of the more ethnic models, Alek Wek and I was saddened by the tone of what the bloggers wrote in reference to her complexion, features and hair texture. Ms. Wek's escape from Sudan, her journey, philanthropy, and groundbreaking success as a supermodel in America is not only beautiful, but it displays her tenacity and character. African-Americans seemed to have lost their eye for character. These comments are evidence of the confusion that lies within many black people. It's the cruelty and prejudice that has spilled into the fabric of our everyday lives. It makes me wonder what have we collectively lost as a people? Our Minds.
I too have fallen prey, while on vacation in Brazil I decided to undergo tummy lipo-surgery. After having an allergic reaction to the anesthesia, I went into cardiac arrest before the procedure ever began. I nearly lost my life over something as superficial as having a flatter mid-section and trying to adapt to society's traditional definition of beauty. As I nursed my psychological wounds, I began to realize that trying to live up to the prototypes of external beauty paled in comparison to the fact that I have undergone labor, subsequently being blessed to raise five handsome, smart, healthy, intuitive, and happy children. I emerged from my ordeal realizing that my body is an amazing vessel that has given birth to life and that being healthy is what's important and nothing more.
It is my hope that our First Lady and others who share in this effort will continue to be the beacon to shine a light for those who toil on America's beauty totem pole. Now don't get me wrong or take my words out of context. I truly believe that everyone has a right to delineate what they deem is attractive, but we must not confuse perceived "attractiveness" with authentic "beauty." It is important for African Americans, especially, to realize that true beauty is a spiritual element that lies deep within an individual's spirit. It can neither be seen nor is it tangible. People tend to forget that beauty is not about looks and looks is not about beauty.
One of my favorite quotes comes from the great poet Khalil Gibran who once wrote, "Beauty is not the face; beauty is a light in the heart."
MORE REASON TO LOVE 50 CENT...FUNNY BUT TRUE....
Complex: Getting back to Jay-Z, who ended up #1 on the list. Much has been made of his recent comment saying “no one is afraid of 50 Cent.” Regardless, it seems like the general public agrees that Kanye wouldn’t have pulled that stunt if you were on stage instead of Taylor Swift…
50 Cent: He wouldn’t. You can’t convince the public, you can’t convince Kanye to say he would’ve did that. If I was there and he did that to me we would have had an altercation. Right there. It’s clear. He [Kanye] would have avoided that, just being intelligent. The interviewer who asked [Jay-Z] about the Kanye situation made him feel like a punk. His presentation is really simple and you can’t have both. You can’t be gangster Jay from Marcy and be the good guy Jay-Z on Oprah. You just can’t. They don’t let you in. That’s Mr. Knowles, he just got that pass. There ain’t any tickets to an inauguration ball with n*ggas. If you’re from the hood, you have that element or that aura around you, there’s no tickets for you. It’s “safe” people there. This is why those things are happening. This is why he has to convince the person that he’s talking to he’s not afraid of anyone.

TWO TEARS IN A BUCKET....
Two tears in a bucket is a quote that basically means life goes on but does anyone know any more about what it means in depth or where it came from?
It is actually an old saying. The meaning is self explanitory--two tears in a bucket amount to nothing in the grand scheme. Or that it is no big deal. Used in 1992 by the rap group A Tribe Called Quest, in their song "Scenario (Remix)", it has since been referenced in several films, songs and books, including "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil"--where it was famously delivered by The Lady Chablis. The rapper Young Jeezy also mentions it as an 'oh well' phrase in "I'm Back", he says "Two tears in a bucket, who got that work?".
